The Department led Kenyatta University's World Day of Physical Activity celebrations through a lively programme promoting active living, inclusion, preventive health and environmental stewardship. The event brought together University leadership, staff, students, invited schools, sport clubs and community partners.

Participants took part in a 5 km walk/run, aerobics, football, volleyball, tennis, tug of war, sitting volleyball and other adapted activities. Medical screening and health education supported awareness of blood pressure, body composition and healthy lifestyles. The day also included the planting of more than 100 trees, linking physical wellbeing with care for the environment. The celebration demonstrated the Department's continuing commitment to accessible physical activity and community outreach.
