Students enrolled in HPE 231 in PEESS successfully completed a taekwondo belt grading at the Students' Gymnasium after three months of intensive training. The exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Kenya Taekwondo Federation and was graced by Master Phillip Khaemba, Vice Chairman of KTF and Vice Chairman of Kenya Taekwondo Schools and Universities. The students demonstrated technical skill, discipline, fitness and readiness to progress to higher belt levels.
Margaret Muthoni attained the red belt. Blue-belt recipients were Chepngetich Purity, Samson Onyango, Onesmus Iraki Kamau, Daniel Ernest Waititu and Mathew Okumu. Yellow-belt recipients were Adhiambo Sylvia Ouma, Glory Otieno, Dennis Ombati, Benta Amimo, Mandare Faith Pendo, Anthony Kariuki, Joseph Nyairo Nyabando, Stacy Mwajuma Emisiko, Emmanuel Wafula Masinde, Faith Kogi, Joy Chienjo and Gakii Joy. The Department congratulates all the students on their achievement and continued commitment to taekwondo training.
